A bunch is happening in Alan’s world. Aside from a schedule full of conventions, new books are on their way. No, really. I’m serious this time.
The month of May will see the release of The Bloodsucker on Shady Lane and other tales from Voodoo Rumors. This is a short story collection set in the world of Voodoo Rumors, a paranormal-noir place where werewolves, vampires, demons, and whatnot run amuck on the streets of Nashville.
The stories include the novella, The Bloodsucker on Shady Lane. A frightful tale as Thomas Dietrich is hired to investigate a sting of vampiric killings in a quiet Nashville neighborhood.
The other stories included are My Drinks with Azazel, Catching Snow, Love Spells, and Red Lily and the Oriental Flower.
In June, another short story collection will debut. A Blind Eye from the Goddess and other steampunk tales will be available. This is a collection of my steampunk stories, some retooled and others new.
In July, the long awaited Wild Pooch, the fourth novel in the Voodoo Rumors series will be out. This time, Thomas Dietrich and his lady Natalie will be called to investigate a werewolf killing spree, but things are not always what they appear.
I need your help!!!
I’m looking for reviewers for both print and audio books. if you’re interested, please email for details. There could be free books in it for you.
Thomas Dietrich doesn’t look for trouble, but it always slithers up from the depths of Hell to find him.
Set in 1950’s Nashville, Voodoo Rumors brings to life the secret files of P.I. Thomas Dietrich as he battles the werewolves, vampires, and demons that roam his city’s streets at night. Told in the classic noir-style, each of the five stories in this volume will drag you to Hell and back, leaving you begging for more.
¨ How do you know if a monster is living in your backyard and creeping into your room at night? ¨ What happens when a demon gets bored of living and want to drop by for drinks? ¨ Should we consider all killers to be bad people? ¨ Do all love stories have a happy ending? ¨ Where’s a man to go when he is enthralled by a succubus?
It’s been a while coming, but I finally have something new to put up. My novella, Mata Hari: One Life For Another is now available in paperback and eBook.
The story revolves around one of the greatest spies of all time.
As Europe tore itself apart during the first World War, one woman danced and ignored the horror. At least until the truth was exposed. Mata Hari, famed dancer and courtesan, found herself facing a death sentence for spying, but the British Secret Service make her an officer she can’t refuse. She can avoid a hangman’s noose on the condition that she kills a German general. The problem for Mata is that the man in question is the man she loves.
It’s been a while since I updated my websites, Facebook
pages, and everything. 2019 was a bad year for my writing career. Personally, I
had many good things happen, however the writing portion of my life suffered.
Many factors came together like a perfect storm to derail
things, but at the end of the day, I just didn’t get my projects accomplished.
The second draft of book four in the Voodoo Rumors series is
complete but undergoing a complete rewrite. I have a short story collection in
the works. Plus, I’m considering editing an anthology or two.
So, if you see an increase in ads or posts about my books,
it’s because I’m trying to get back on track with my marketing.
Good comments and positive thoughts are always appreciated.
Great news! The Blood Red Ruby is out in audio. Murdoch Pennington does a great job in bring the voice of Thomas Dietrich to life. Click the image to go to Audible.com and listen to a sample.
The audio version of book two, The Last Encore is in the works.
Currently, I’m way behind on book Four, Wild Pooch. This novel will find Dietrich and Natalie bouncing around Nashville, collecting clues, and chatting up suspects. Is there an untamed werewolf in town? The mangled bodies of four women would suggest so, but Dietrich isn’t sure.
Wild Pooch will be out in mid-October, if all goes according to plan.
Sorry for the lack of news, as of late. Things have been hectic. However, that isn’t to say that the wait hasn’t been worth it.
First off, let me say that book three of the Voodoo Rumors series, A Penny For Luck, is now available on Kindle and the print version will go on sale within a few days.
Book three takes place in Memphis, as Dietrich and Natalie make a stop for the night on a much-needed vacation. The following morning, things for Dietrich are fuzzy and events from the night before lead to a whirlwind adventure around the city.
In addition to the new release, I’m happy to say that the audio versions of books one, two and three are in the beginning stages. With luck, we’ll see The Blood Red Ruby by early fall of this year.
Book four is progressing nicely. Here is a hint about the plot, werewolf murder mystery.
I’ll keep you up to date on more happens. In the meantime, join the mailing list, read the editor’s corner and see what Dana has been up to, and drop me a line if you have questions or remarks about the books.
With the official launch of the second Voodoo Rumors book, ‘The Last Encore’ this Saturday, I wanted to go ahead and give everyone a sneak peek at books three and four. Coming in May, ‘ A Penny for Luck’ will see Dietrich roaming the streets of Memphis in an attempt to save his girl’s soul. Book four, coming in July is ‘Wild Pooch’. It will be exploring the werewolf families that call Nashville home.
The official release of The Blood Red Ruby, the first in the Voodoo Rumors series is just two weeks away.
One gem, five men, forty-eight hours of sheer terror.
Book two, The Last Encore will be released in March and then a new book in the series, every other month for the rest of 2018.
If the series is successful, then I’ll continue writing more for 2019.
The series mixes the hardboiled P.I. genre with the darkest elements of the paranormal. Set in 1950’s Nashville, Thomas Dietrich is cynical yet idealistic; amorous yet full of despair. He’s a man capable of harsh violence and unfettered compassion in a world where the darkest things walk the streets of his city at night.
